Open House @ the Crossroads! October 9th, 2010 10AM

On Saturday October 9th the Baileys Crossroads Volunteer Fire Department (3601 Firehouse Lane, Falls Church, VA) is pleased to host its annual Open House. This day is the culmination of Fire Prevention week. The 2010 National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) theme is simply: “Smoke Alarms: A Sound You Can Live With!” The Open House will help educate the public on the importance of working smoke alarms, how to properly use and maintain smoke alarms and what to do should a home fire occur.

So, yes, even with the roof still in the rebuild phase our House is open to you and we welcome you!

About Our Roof

The roof of the Bailey’s Crossroads Volunteer Fire Department (Fairfax County Fire Station10) suffered a partial collapse during the snow storm on February 8th 2010. The collapse occurred in a section of the building used to house emergency apparatus, including three ambulances, a fire engine, and a rescue boat, all purchased by the Bailey's Crossroads Volunteer Fire Department through the generosity of community members.

Your assistance is now needed more than ever before so that the station can be rebuilt and house the volunteer and career staff that serve your community.
